The story described the experience of horse riding with a suspenseful story that captured the interest of my 8 year old grandson and his 10 year old sister. They are looking forward to more adventures.

Count Me Never Lost - Review

August 28, 2020

Certain to evoke memories and emotions is The ballad of J.F.K. in the poem Ricketts paints an unpretentious, unsentimental word picture of that November day in 1963. On May 8, 1964, Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy sent the following letter of appreciation to Ricketts: "Many thanks for your thoughtfulness in forwarding the meaningful verses about my brother," he wrote. "It was good of you to bring them to my attention."

A slender volume of poems, and clearly a work of art, Count Me Never Lost should be read again and again--sometimes out loud--savored, and treasured.

      - Roger Zotti, Connecticut

The author has combined real-life horse-handling principles and a fictional adventure – a great pick for horse loving teens and tweens. This book is written for middle grade and young adult readers (ages 9 and up). This is family entertainment, and the second book in the series.
